Kittens Rescued

Four 2 day old kittens were found dumped in Bridlington recently. They were rushed to the vets for checking over and then they went to Julie, one of our fosterers.
As they were so young they needed bottle feeding every 2 hours so as well as getting up in the night Julie took the kittens to work with her so she could feed them during the day.
For young kittens without their mother the first 14 days are crucial and even though they can appear to be doing well they can suddenly go downhill with “kitten fade”
We all had our fingers crossed for these babies and thankfully they have all made it thanks to the excellent care they have been given by our fosterer.
They will all be looking for new homes around the end of August.

This cat who we have called Katie was found dumped in the garden along with her 4 kittens who were only a few days old. The person who found them made enquiries in her area but the cat did not belong to anyone around there. One of our fosterers collected them and they are now doing well. The kittens will be old enough to be found new homes in a few weeks and once Katie has been neutered we will be looking for a new home for her as well.
